 | Thomas A. Koch, a Writer, Director, and Director of Photography was born in South Dakota, then transplanted to Wisconsin during high school. Afterward, he attended the University of Wisconsin for Film and Journalism, later specializing in Film Directing at Columbia College in Chicago. Koch has been involved with corporate and cable television production for several years, while continuing to work on narrative film and video.
After shooting several short films, Koch wrote the feature script for his directorial debut, "How to Live With a Vegan Without Killing Them." This 83-minute "Dramedy" is now available in most territories from Melrose Films.
Koch has worked on several films since the completion of "Vegan," as Production Sound mixer on "It All Goes Wrong" and "Rep Your City," Editor on a Bollywood/Hollywood crossover film titled "Dulhan: Made in USA," and most recently he was Director of Photography on the feature "Smoked," shot in High Definition. Additionally, Koch shoots and directs corporate video productions for Fortune 500 and other national companies, while supporting the filmmaking community with his new internet initiative (Bay Area Filmmakers) .
